Do you know anyone in Warwick and Leamington who deserves recognition?
My MP Awards for Community Excellence event aims to recognise unsung heroes in the Warwick and Leamington community.
I’m delighted to say the event is going ahead next Thursday (February 17) at 8pm.
The judges have decided on this year’s winners but please tune in to see if your nominee made the final shortlist. And we aim for every nominee to feature!
The ceremony will be presented by BBC Coventry and Warwickshire’s Trish Adudu and our special guest this year will be local actor David Bradley – famed for his long and successful career including his iconic turn as Hogwarts’ beloved caretaker Argus Filch in the Harry Potter films.
We had more than 100 nominations, eclipsing our total last year.
Last year’s ceremony recognised residents of Warwick and Leamington who went beyond the call of duty to serve those who needed extra support during a very challenging year for our community.
There were over 100 nominations whose efforts all deserved to be commemorated along with 8 worthy winners (including the NHS Warwick Hospital Frailty Unit, pictured, and LWS Night Shelter).
